"Sous Lavi" means Source of Life in Haitian Creole
Because we believe God is the source of all life and that He desires for all human beings to have access to clean water, safe childbirth and a hope for the future. Sous Lavi is a 501C(3) non-profit organization working in rural Haiti and Kenya.
We lead teams of volunteers all over the world to help facilitate God's work. This is a vital part of our ministry and a great way to grow your own relationship with God and the people of the world.

The Miller family
About us
Hello, We are the Miller Family! Here at Sous Lavi, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. We believe we've been blessed to be a blessing. We are a homeschooling, Christian family of ten. Matt has run his own business for the last 12 years, while LeaAnna is apprenticing to be a certified midwife. Our oldest children, Juliette and Isaiah, are both in college working hard. Glory and Lily are finishing high school and pursuing their artistic endeavors. The rest of the clan, Selah, Annabelle, Jubilee, and Jesse enjoy doing school at home, hiking, playing with their many cats, dogs, goats, donkey and pony and going on adventures. Our family has made it our personal mission since 2000 to travel, do missions work, and make the world a better place through Jesus Christ and we hope you will join us on the journey.
Our Work
How we are Working
Micro loan Program
We are interviewing and training young adults who have a desire to run their own business. We are coupling a micro-loan program with a week long business training seminar to get these businesses started. We will be providing ongoing mentorship and an opportunity for the loan to be paid back and sown into another needy person’s life.

Safe Child Birth
We understand that the best way to tackle the orphan crisis is to train and equip young men and women to provide for their families and therefore preventing orphans. Another powerful way to keep families intact is through childbirth education, good prenatal care and having a skilled midwife at every birth. If we can reduce the maternal mortality rate, we can prevent babies from being orphaned. If we can teach mothers about nutrition, feeding and sanitation, we can also reduce the infant mortality rate. Sous Lavi is working in all of these areas with the goal of building free standing birth centers equipped with skilled midwives to educate the community and to create a safe, gentle place to bring new life into this world.
Refugee Outreach
At Sous Lavi, we believe that displaced people are close to God's heart. We have a desire and a conviction to collect and distribute warm clothing to refugees in Greece and elsewhere. We are looking at options to partner with organizations currently on the ground in these places and help multiply their efforts by being the hands and feet of Jesus to people without even the basic essentials of life.
